In December of 2020 I was approached by one of the members of the Gale Park Neighbors Association regarding the painting of three electrical boxes. As the park features several war memorials, including a prominent WWI memorial, the group wanted poppies to be the main subject matter featured in the paintings. A third box, furthest away from the WWI memorial features both poppies as well as forget-me-not flowers as a means of remembrance for the other wars commemorated in the park.
