Creative Haverhill, a non-profit arts organization in the town of Haverhill, MA, commissioned me to create this double-sided painting as a means of repurposing an old Creative Haverhill sign that featured an outdated map of the city. Rather than tearing the sign down, it was transformed into artwork featuring a hand entwined by a morning glory vine, a flower that symbolizes strength and resilience. I worked on the painting, in part, during the city's September Art Walk event.
